Early Childhood Supportive Intervention Programs

What is Early Intervention?
Early Intervention services are mandated by the state to families with children between birth and three years of age, who display a developmental delay, a medical diagnosis and/or risk factors that may hinder their development. Any child is eligible if he/she is diagnosed with a physical, emotional, or cognitive condition that may result in developmental delay, or is at risk for developmental delay due to various biological and/or environmental factors. Services include: Developmental screening and evaluation, home visits and therapies, and play groups.
