Interlibrary Loan

The Newton Free Library is committed to Resource Sharing on behalf of its patrons.

Materials may be obtained for you from libraries beyond the Minuteman Library Network when you submit an Interlibrary Loan request. Do this in person at the Reference Desk, by telephone
at (617) 796-1380, or by filling out the online request form available here**

When using the online Interlibrary Loan request form, fill out as much information as possible about the item you want. Your request will be processed by the Interlibrary Loan Department. If there are questions about your request, you will be contacted by telephone or by email. Please allow at least 2 weeks for receipt of books or media items. Articles usually arrive within a few days. You will be contacted as soon as the item you requested has arrived. If we are unable to obtain the item you requested, you will also be notified. For any question regarding your request, call the Reference Department at (617) 796-1380.
