Storytelling Club for Teens Ages 12 to 14

Learn to select, adapt and tell stories: plan a storytelling program for children in kindergarten through grade 4. We’ll help you find places to tell your stories and earn community service credit!
Tuesdays at 4:15PM: October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and November 7
Registration begins September 18.

This program is being presented in conjunction with a grant received from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.



Science Tuesday - Exploring Tide Pools  
 
The New England Aquarium’s traveling tide pool will stop at the Library for some exciting hands-on discoveries.

Is It Fact or Fiction? - Witches

Children will listen to stories and discover amazing facts about witches, then create their own witch craft to take home.

Drop-In Halloween Story / Craft Hours

Come to the Library in costume for a fun Halloween story and craft.

A Ghost in the Attic

Everyone likes a good ghost story! Storyteller Tony Toledo offers a combination of spooky and humorous New England tales that will send shivers down your spine.

World Cultures - Uganda

Children will hear a story and learn about the African country of Uganda through a craft and delicious treat.

Counting on Mother Goose

This family literacy program is for children and their caregivers. It uses fantastic picture books and fun, hands-on activities to introduce simple mathematical concepts to children. Ages 3 - 5
Wed. at 4:15PM: Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25
Registration begins Monday , Sept. 18.

Parent / Child Book Discussion Groups

Parents and children come together in a new twist on a book discussion group. Parents and children are expected to read the book in advance in order to discuss it together in the book group.
Grades 6 & 7: Tue. at 7:00PM, Oct. 3, Nov. 7, Dec. 5
Grades 4 & 5: Tue. at 7:00PM, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, Dec. 12
