Summer Reading Kickoff Program

Jay Mankita presents The Day the Library Went Wild
Participatory songs and interactive stories encourage an optimistic awareness and concern for ourselves, each other, and this beautiful planet that we call home. Jay plays guitar, sings, and tells stories, both original and collected.

  Summer Reading Program “What’s Buzzin’ at Your Library”

This summer our reading program will feature bugs in fact and fiction. Starting June 20th children and parents are welcome to come in and register for the program and the story craft hours. Upon registering children will receive a log, bookmark, a list of coupons to museums and family friendly destinations, and lots of activity sheets. We will have stickers and prizes for books read, lots of story craft hours, an exciting scavenger hunt game and an ice cream party.

Story Craft Hours 
 
Registration for July story craft hours begins Tuesday, June 20.  Registration for August Programs begins Monday, July 24. 

Each craft hour children will hear some stories and discover some interesting facts about these amazing creatures.   They will then make a creepy crawly craft.

Week 1—Ants

Ages 3-5  Friday, July 7 at 9:30AM
Ages 6 –8  Friday, July 7 at 2:30PM

Week 2—Spiders

Ages 3-5  Monday, July 10 at 2:00PM
Ages 6-8  Tuesday, July 11 at 3:00PM

Week 3—Worms

Week 4—Beetles
