Annual Puppet Sale Fundraiser

Just in time for the holidays Fred Reidy returns with his amazing assortment of puppets for an all day fundraiser for the Library, sponsored by the Friends. Puppets range from small finger puppets to large hand puppets.

Newton North High School Fingerpaint Players presents

“The Princess and the Pea”
Watch this troupe of young thespians put on a fun production of a classic folktale.

Holiday Read-a-thon for Children and Young Adults

Join our Read-a-thon to help boost literacy among children and adults in Afghanistan. Gather pledges from family and friends and start reading books, from December 1 – 31. Monetary pledges can be made for pages or entire books. The Library is teeming up with Relief International which will send books, maps, school supplies and furniture to a library in Afghanistan, sponsored by your pledges. Pledge Sheets will be available at the Children’s Desk, the Young Adult Desk and at the Branches. Adults are welcome to make a monetary contribution to the literacy appeal, as well. All pledge sheets and checks are due by Tuesday, January 3.

World Cultures - Christmas in the British Isles

Children will hear stories and traditions of Christmas in England, Scotland and Wales, create a craft and enjoy a tasty treat.
