A Reading and Science Activity Program for Young Families
Mother Goose Asks, “Why?” is a family literacy program for children and their caregivers, that uses fantastic picture books and fun hands-on activities to introduce and emphasize science concepts to children.
3-5 year olds: Wednesdays at 4:15pm

Mother Goose Programs are developed by the Vermont Center for the Book. They are supported in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the Massachusetts Center for the Book and federally funded with LSTA funds through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Going places @ you Library Summer Reading Program
You and your child are invited to help launch the 2005 Massachusetts Regional Library Systems’ Statewide Summer Library Adventure. Registration begins on Monday, June 27. Going places @ your library offers library events for children of all ages and their families from July 5 to August 12. The summer reading program gives families a chance to read throughout the summer and to participate in some terrific story craft hours. This summer we will travel to different lands as well as explore different modes of transportation. Children will find fun and encouragement as they pursue their individual reading adventures.
