Branch Activities Registration for Early Spring Storytimes begins Monday, February 14. Please check the www.ci.newton.ma.us/Library/kidspagedefault.asp and bulletin board for more information. Preschool Singalong Join Melissa, Jean, and Sandy for a fun musical program. Tuesdays at 10:30AM February 1 & 15. Druker Auditorium Meet the Author --Ryan San Angelo Mr. San Angelo, musician and author of Spaghetti Eddie, will share his wacky tale of a boy and his helpful spaghetti. Preschool Films Fridays at 10:30AM February 4, 11, 18, 25 Druker Auditorium Mother Goose Asks, “Why?” A Reading and Science Activity Program for Young Families Mother Goose Asks, “Why?” is a family literacy program for children and their caregivers, that uses fantastic picture books and fun hands-on activities to introduce and emphasize science concepts to children. 3-5 year olds: Wednesdays at 4:15PM Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 Registration begins Monday, Jan. 24 6-8 year olds: Wednesdays at 7:00PM March 2, 9, 16, 23 Registration begins Monday, Feb. 14 Mother Goose Programs are developed by the Vermont Center for the Book. They are supported in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the Massachusetts Center for the Book and federally funded with LSTA funds through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. World Cultures—Egypt Children will listen to stories from Egypt, create a craft, and enjoy a tasty treat. Presents The Finger Paint Players in The Emperor’s New Clothes. Enjoy a fun performance of this classic tale.
