Branch Activities Registration for Winter Storytimes begins Monday, December 20. Storytimes will begin on Monday, January 3, 2005. Celebrations of Light: Stories & Songs for the Holiday Season Talented singer and storyteller John Porcino will share music and stories from many traditions to celebrate this festive time of year. Sunday, December 5 at 2:00PM Ages 4 and up Druker Auditorium* Author Anita Silvey recommends Children’s Books Ms. Silvey will speak about her new book 100 Best Books for Children. With her 35 years of experience in children’s publishing, editor of the Horn Book Magazine and publisher for Children’s Books for Houghton Mifflin, she is uniquely qualified to compile this informative list. Wednesday, December 8 at 7:00PM Druker Auditorium Songs of Freedom and Struggle for Chanukah Join us for a warm and interactive Chanukah event for the whole family. Lisa Gallatin, music teacher for the Workmen’s Circle Sunday School will lead holiday songs in English and Yiddish. A perfect last-night-of-Chanukah celebration. Ages 3 to 12. Pumpernickel Puppets presents The Frog Prince Talented puppeteer John McDonough returns for a delightful retelling of the classic tale The Frog Prince.
