Activities

Teddy Bear Picnic
Bring a teddy, lunch and a blanket and join the librarians for a delightful sing-a-long. The event will take place outside by the Eeyore and Winnie the Pooh statues.

World Cultures - Flag Day
Come celebrate the many cultures of the world with a flag craft, story and delicious treat.

Science Tuesday - World of Bugs
With the help MANY insects, Bugman Enterprises will present a terrific program on the life of bugs.
Please note:
Due to the extreme popularity of this program, children who attended the March, 2001 World of Bugs program may not register for this program.

"Song, Dance and the Possibilities" with Brian Gillie
Join us for a terrific interactive music and dance program that demonstrates the styles and history of America’s own songs and dances. Dance a Charleston to hip-hop music or do a dance that’s part
polka, part Macarena. This program will kick off our Statewide Summer Reading Program "Star Spangled Summer."

Poetry Writing Workshops
Come write and explore the exciting world of poetry.

Summer Reading Program: "A Star Spangled Summer at your Library"
Join us for a summer filled with activities, incentives and lots and lots of great books. Explore the wonders of the United States through books, programs, and recreational activities, Story/Craft programs will highlight sites, wildlife, and the literature of America. Children who participate will receive reading log, bookmarks and activity sheets.
Registration begins Monday, June 24.

NEW! Parent Child Book Discussion Group
Parents and children come together in a new twist on a book discussion group. Parents and children are expected to read and discuss the book together in the Book Group. The first book to be discussed is the Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster.
