WHY

The Newton Free Library is a wonderful and popular resource for the City of Newton. In order to continue to offer the best possible service to the community, the Library relies on its volunteers. Volunteering offers you an opportunity to meet others who love books and libraries while you provide valuable service to the Library and the community. Last year our 400 volunteers contributed almost 20,000 hours of service!

WHAT

Volunteers help in a number of ways. Click here for information on the variety of opportunities that are available.

WHO

We welcome as volunteers those of middle school age or older. Our current volunteers range in age from early teens to early 90s! If you enjoy being around books and those who love books and libraries, we welcome you as a volunteer.
