GLUTEN FREE RECIPE AND INFORMATION BOOKS
Celiac disease is an immune reaction to gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley. An estimated 1 percent of all Americans suffer from celiac disease, though many have never been diagnosed and are not receiving treatment.
The following books are available at the Newton Free Library. The Newton Free Library, as well as the Minuteman Library Network, has many other books to help readers learn more about Gluten Intolerance. The listed Web sites can also be very useful and informative. An Internet search using the terms “Gluten Free recipes” or “Gluten Free recipes Children” will provide a large number of Web sites with a great many recipes. Ask a librarian, if you need help.
