THE DALAI LAMA AND BUDDHISM
The Dalai Lama has been in the news because he was awarded the Nobel peace Prize in 1989 and more recently with the events that have been occurring in Tibet and the subsequent protests around the world regarding the upcoming Beijing Summer Olympic Games.
The library has a collection of 63 books, CD Audiobooks, and cassette tapes of works by the Dalai Lama. The listing includes only a few of those titles. The following books and films are available at the Newton Free Library. The Newton Free Library, as well as the Minuteman Library Network, has many other books about the Dalai Lama and Buddhism.
